It is a follow-up  about enterance, visa and residence permit procedures of International Students, who will study at higher education instutions at all levels.

  

 

ACTIONS ABROAD (Visa Procedures)

 

International studentsshould take following documents together while applying to the foreignrepresentative offices of Turkey.

a)     Receive a letter of acceptance or anequivalent document from the institutions that they will study.

b)     Current and long-term passport

c)     A document proving that the student hasenough financial funds to study and live in Turkey during the duration of theirstudies.

d)    A visa fee that is determined accordingto the their nationality and reciprocity.

e)     Additional documents may be requested bythe Consulate.

Necessary Procedures Starting FromTheir Arrival (Residential Procedures)

Foreignerswith student visa must enter Turkey into the border Gates that are openedinternational road traffic legally. Within 30 days after entering the country,they must go together with the following documents to the provincial policedepartment and must take the residence permit for foreigners.

a)     Receive registration/acceptance certificate or an equivalent document from the University.

b)      Astudent visa taken from the foreign agents

c)     A document proving that the student hasenough financial funds to study and live in Turkey during the duration of theirstudies.

d)    The paper with the price of residencepermit,published in the official newspaper at the beginning of each year.

e)     Additional documents may be requested.

 

After Receiving Residence PermitProcedures (Notification Procedures)

a)     Foreigners identification numberallocated to the foreign students is learned from the official web page ofGeneral Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs. https://tckimlik.nvi.gov.tr/AnonimSorgu.html

b)     Foreign Students,who wish to extend theresidence permit,should apply to Foreign Police Units to the extension of theduration before the end of the specified period time or within 15 days sincethe latest date.

c)     Changings like graduation, dropping out,absence etc. Should be reported to the Foreign Police Units in 15 days,Changing of the address should be reported in 48 hours.

d)    Do not rasure or scratch on theresidence permit, if it is lost, you should apply to take a new one to theForeign Police Units immediately.
