PRINCIPLES FOR APPLICATION, ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TO BOZOK UNIVERSITY
PART 1
Objective,content, Fulcrum and Definitions
Purpose and Content
Article 1-The aim of this principle is to designate the criteria for application, admission and registration of international students to the undergraduate programs and two-year degree programs in Bozok University, whose quotas are approved by the Council of Higher Education.

Article 2–This principle is based upon the Council of Higher Education document dated 27.01.2010,numbered 383-3269.
Definitions and Abbreviations
Article 3-(1) In these principles:
a)"University"means: University of Bozok,
b)"President"means: the president of the University of Bozok
c)"International Students means: Candidates, who are graduated from a high school equivalent to Turkish high schools, but those, who are not holding the citizenship of Turkish Republic and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and with dual nationality, and those who are not holding the citizenship neither Turkish Republic nor Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
PART TWO
Application, Required Documents,Evaluation, Conditions of Education and Registration
Application and Required Documents
Article 4 - (1)Information regarding to the applications is posted on the official website of Bozok University every July. Applications should be submitted to the Bozok University Registrar’s Office either in person ,o by postor online during the specified period. Delays in post are not taken into consideration. The candidate will be accepted by depending on the tests that are described in the article 5 of this principles and laws that is approved by Council of Higher Education.
(2)Students can apply for the quotas, who has at least the required scores. Others situations ,whowill apply with the scores of other tests , which are not defined in theprinciples for application will be decided by the Senate.
(3)Application are made in our web site via online by filling the application form.

The Evaluation Of The Applications
Article 6 -(1) The evaluation of the results,the placement of the programs is done by a commission appointed by Bozok University. Bozok University has the initiative of not filling the quotas. Meeting the application criteria does not guarantee admission to the programs. The application of those,who does not meet the criteria will not beput into perspective. If necessary, additional placement will be announced.
(2)The evaluation of the applications to those departments and schools that require a Special Skill Exam will be done in accordance with the criteria set for the principles for application and admission of Special Skill Exam of those interested faculties/schools.
(3)A letter of acceptance or an equivalent document will be prepared for those ,who win the rights of enroll in a school.
RESULTS OF ANNOUNCEMENTS AND REGISTRATION
Article 7 -(1) The results are announced at the website of the Bozok University(www.bozok.edu.tr).
(2)The accepted students will also receive their acceptance letters through regular posts.
(3)After the results are announced, the accepted students must send a"confirmation” letter“ stating that the his/her intends to enroll,otherwise their right to enroll will be forfeited.
(4)The registration will be done by the Registrar’s Office during the specified dates.
(5)All students can ask any question that will not be clear to the Office of International Students personally or by email (ois@bozok.edu.tr).
Required Documents for Registration:
Article 8 - (1) The following documents are required for registration:
1-The original high school diploma and the equivalancy document,approved by the Turkish Embassy or Consulate of Turkey in their country or the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Turkey,certifying that the high school diploma of the student is equivalent to a Turkish High School Diploma.
2-Original copy of the Exam Result.
3-The Turkish Embassy or Consulate Certified Turkish Copy of the passports.
4-The bank receipt of Semester Tuition Fee .(The amount and the specified bank is announced by the Council of Ministers at the start of ever academic year.)
. 5-A Student Visa issued by the Turkish Embassy in their country; or those who states in Turkey “A Student Visa” issued by the Provincial Directorate of Security.
6-Students, who has Turkish nationality must obtain a document from Turkish Embassy or Consulate of Turkey,which shows their nationality because of the obligation that they must pay the tuition fees in Turkish Liras that is approved by the Council of Ministers.
7-An original copy of International Approved Competence Certificate of Turkish.
8-Permit of Residence
9-The identification number for foreigners.
10-The 12 passport photos (4.5 x 6.0 cm)(Photos must be taken within the last six months and the head and neck revealedthat the Studens can be recognized easily.)
11-A document proving that the student has enough financial funds to study and live in Turkey during theduration of their studies. The amount is determined by the Senate of the BozokUniversity and is implemented by the approval of the Council of Higher Education.
Turkish Language Requirements
Article 9 -(1) The Turkish level of students are determined according to the criteria below.
Level A: Proficient in Turkish language and is qualified for his registration.
Level B: Not proficient in Turkish language but can be proficient in a short time. Qualified for registration providing that the students attend a Turkish Language courses.
Level C:Not proficient in Turkish Language.The students can enroll the program that they are placed,excepting those,who approve for the program, which provide education in foreign language, will be granted leave of absence in one (1) year. Those, who with Turkish level A and B after the Turkish course, can start their program.
(2)The Turkish Language level of the students is determined by a Turkish Language test given by the Turkish Language Department of our university.
(3)Those students with Turkish level B and C can start their program on condition that they pass the exam that is taken at the end of the first week of the academic year.
(4)Those students with Turkish level B and C are suppposed to increase his/her grade to level A during his/her education in our university. Those student, who reach the graduation level ,must present a document certifying his/her Turkish language level A. Otherwise, s/he will not be graduated from programs until s/he certificates their success.
(5)A year of absence of the students with Turkish level C in their programs are determined by the relevant commissions. Those, who take the competence certificate of Aor B at the and of the academic year, they must present their certificates to the Registrar’s Office before following academic year begins. Those, who do notpresent competence certificate of Turkish language or who fail the exam that is made by our University will be disaffiliated with our university.
(6)Those with level B and C must attend Turkish language courses given by Language Teaching-Learning Research Center of or Turkish Language Department of Bozok University. Those with level C must take minimum level B from exam called YÖS or other equivalent exam level B in a year or must pass the Turkish language test made by our university.
The period of language study is not considered as the education period of the programs that the students are placed. The students must pay the course fee during this period.
(7)The equivalence of language certificates taken from other institutions are identified by Turkish Language Department of our University.
The Language of Instruction and Foreign Language Preparatory Program
Article 10 -(1) The language of instruction is Turkish at Bozok University. The students that apply for the programs with a compulsory foreign language and second foreign language lessons and in foreign language preparatory classes, the principles are implemented that are appeared in the directive of compulsory foreign language and directive of foreign language preparatory classes of Bozok University.
(2) Those with Turkish language level A and B can start their program. At the end of the language preparatory class, others with level C are given a year of absence in order to increase their Turkish grade.The students who enroll aprogramme providing a foreign language training ,can start their programs with level C.
PART THREE
Miscellaneous Provisions
Health
Article 11 -(1) International students are not given a health record. But they can benefit from medico-social services of our university when they apply to Registrar’s Office in case of emergency. The fees of drugs during the treatments are paid by the students.All international students must have a current health insurance. A year of health insurance costs 300 USD. Bozok University does not offer a scholarship for international students.
Cancellation of the Registration:
Article 12 -(1) 28th article of Directive for students of Associate Degree /Bachelor Degree of Bozok University is implemented.
Other provisions
Article 13 -(1) International Students are subject to the provisions of Bozok University Directive for students of Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree.
(2)The academic degrees given by Bozok University are same for the international students.
(3)The implementation schedule is determined for each academic year within the quotas of international students to Bozok University and is specified in the academic calender of the Bozok University. All information about registered students are informed to the Council of Higher Education.
Effective
Article 14 -(1) These principles are effective after it is approved by the Senate of the Bozok University.
Executive
Article 15 -(1) These principles are executed by the Rector of the Bozok University.
